Ingredients
- rice - 1 cup
- urad dal (ulunthu) - 1/4 cup
- sudgar - 1.5 cup
Steps
- Now soak the rice and urad dal (ulunthu) for 4 hours.
- After four hours now first make the sugar syrup.
- So heat the pan add 1.5 sugar and 3/4 cup water.
- Make a sugar syrup in medium flame.
- 1/2 string consistency and add 4 drops lemon juice.
- Now take a blender add the rice and urad dal.
- Blend it until soft state.
- Take it in bowl add the 1/2 tsp baking soda and orange color.
- Heat the pan with oil and make the thaen mittai balls.
- Deep fry that until crispy state.
- Take out and soak into the sugar syrup.
- Rest for 20 minits.
- Optional sugar coating to thaen mittai.
